Welcome to the eastern part of Salling – Øst-Salling

Øst-Salling offers incredibly beautiful and unspoiled coastal areas with quiet child-friendly beaches Denmark is well known for its frequent western wind, but exactly along the coast of Øst-Salling you will often find shelter and good opportunities for walks in all kinds of weather all year round.

As far as the eye can see, you can observe the glimmering waters of the Limfjorden and its surrounding natural unspoiled landscape. Birds are heard both far away from the inlet and from the beach. You will see flocks of birds landing and taking off, and flying low across the waters. You will see them diving for food or wading birds picking in the sand with their long beaks.

Now and then you will observe one or more seals appearing with their head popping up above the waters interested in watching what goes on at the beach – or see them sleeping on the sand bars. Read more.
